BMW 320 (E21) Group 5

This BMW 320 (E21) Group 5 was introduced for the 1977 racing season. It featured a two liter, twin-cam, sixteen-valve engine producing around 310 PS. If you are wondering why there is a "BMW Junior Team" note on the windscreen, I'm here to answer. The car is a product of the BMW Motorsport's idea to find and train young drivers professionally and to send them to race as junior team. In the 1977 German Racing Championship BMW scored the 1st, 3rd, and 5th place. Interesting is that the junior program is still being continued. Also the other example of this BMW was turned into an Art Car by Roy Lichtenstein back in 1977.
